INTRODUCTIE
Ella Joosten werkt figuratief expressionistisch met een helder en kleurrijk palet.
Haar schilderijen hebben een frisse, krachtige en – zo wordt vaak gezegd – opvallende vrolijke uitstraling.
De energieke figuratie, boeiende kleurencombinaties en sterke composities wekken ontegenzeggelijk emoties op.
Karakteristiek voor Ella Joosten is niet alleen haar daadkracht, maar ook haar dadendrang. Impulsen die dagelijks op haar afkomen, wil ze zo snel mogelijk omzetten in beelden. Het werkproces zelf, dat boeit haar, daarin ligt haar inspiratiebron.
Door het samenspel van kleur en vormen, worden haar figuratieve en abstracte werken gecreëerd in thematische series. Ella Joosten heeft onder meer de natuur, bloemstillevens, geisha's, vissen etc. onderzocht.
Het zijn vooral de emoties die ze wil vastleggen en communiceren.

1979 - 1981 Studie Kunstgeschiedenis, Universiteit van Nijmegen
1983 - 1988 De Nieuwe Academie, Utrecht (NAU)
1980 - dubuteerde Ella Joosten, sindsdien heeft ze talrijke exposities op haar naam staan in zowel binnen- als buitenland.
Het werk van Ella Joosten is in boeken en kunst encyclopedieën gereproduceerd, en in publicaties beschreven. Zij heeft vele opdrachten uitgevoerd.
Haar werk bevindt zich in verzamelingen van particulieren, bedrijven en gemeenten.
